Phantom Pain is an action-adventure stealth game that adds open-world gameplay to the Metal Gear universe. Set in 1984, the second part of Metal Gear Solid 5 follows Snake - also known as Big Boss - in war-torn Afghanistan. The world of Phantom Pain is rendered in incredible detail. It's meant to feel like a real place, and it's huge - you'll need a plane to get to distant locations. As you'd expect, Snake's missions are usually about stealth. Often, you'll be able to completely avoid enemies or gun them down silently. You can also fight with your fists - specifically, the newest weapon in Snake's arsenal, Big Boss' bionic arm. Liberated personnel and items can be used to strengthen your mother base, in order to fend off attacks in online play.
